The Lion King (1994) is a Disney animated musical directed by Roger Allers and Rob Minkoff and starring Matthew Broderick, Jeremy Irons and James Earl Jones. Set in the African savanna, the film follows young lion prince Simba as he flees his kingdom after the death of his father, only to return years later to reclaim his rightful place as king.
